Crafts 4 Hope Foundation’s First Christmas Party Was A Huge Success

Our fabulous Crafts 4 Hope tree turned out to be so lovely. We did not use this time to fundraise but strictly give back to the community. We are planning a Christmas In July Fundraiser for the third week in July. This should be fun! Everyone that came to the Christmas party and colored a Christmas tree, were placed in a drawing to win a gift certificate of $10.00. Three Amazon gift certificates were given away. All three went to online participants. Next year, we will have two categories: One for both online and offline participants. Our Tree of Hope had no ornaments at all to start; Everyone who came put an ornament on the Tree of Hope Christmas Tree and enjoyed a lovely time of fellowship. Brother Lawrence read the Christmas Story. We lit the Advent Candles throughout the night and because of my wonderful supporters both on and offline, we set up a donation room. Everyone took what they wanted so that they could give it to those in need in their own communities. Hats, scarves, gloves, baby clothes, blankets, diapers, dog vests, soap, children’s clothes, socks and so many various items where shared among the party comers and given to those in need. Crafts 4 Hope also allowed everyone to pick a gift that consisted of a diamond painted magnet, card or pendant. Gifts were given and gifts were received with the main bulk going to my friend Sandra to help Veteran Services Catholic Charities of South Jersey. THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT AND DONATIONS TO HELP OUR VETERANS.

Donations Of Any Kind Gladly Accepted

 God has richly blessed us in strange but wonderful ways since the publishing of the our Fall Newletter October first! Everything had a expiration date of at least a year and some things did not expire for two years! Cases upon cases of cranberry sauce, cranberry juice and grape juice were donated to Crafts 4 Hope Foundation and distrubuted to various nonprofits and individual families in preparation for Thanksgiving meals. A local drugstore got rid of inventory and Crafts 4 Hope Foundation was able to distribute 9 prenancy tests, 32 bottles of baby blue nail polish, 16 fleets enemas, 12 bottles of isoprpyl alcohol, 12 bottles of hydration lotion and one 12 pack of adult diapers.The most touching story was the giving away of the fleets enema because it was given privately to someone being treated for stage 4 cancer of the lungs and because of various medications they take, they were experiencing constipation.  So, you see beautiful souls? Crafts 4 Hope Foundation Planning Christmas In July Fundraiser

I am planning the fundraiser now even though it is just the last day of March. Fundraisers take a lot of planning. I did not want to do a fundraiser at Christmas because I am of the opinion that it would take away from the true meaning and purpose of Christmas and that is the gift of Christ our Saviour and the giving of gifts to those less fortunate. Crafts 4 Hope Foundation gives what it can everyday of the year. It costs approximately $2.00 per person per crafting event for crafting supplies. The newsletter and postage is another huge expense for the foundation. It is for these reasons monetary donations are needed and a fundraising event is very important.
